Initially, she sang popular songs of Mukhtar Begum, Akhtar Bai Faizabad and other singers.
At the age of eight or nine, their family moved to Lahore where they also started performing on stage. Here they met musician GA Chishti who further improved the voice of Noor Jahan. After success in Lahore, these sisters became their brothers. She went to Calcutta with Mohammad Shafi where at that time Mukhtar Begum was talking parrots everywhere. Mukhtar Begum liked the voice of these sisters very much and on their recommendation she got a job in KD Mehra's film company, the same company. He named Allah Wasai as Baby Noor Jahan while Aidan and Haider Bai sang with their real names.
The first film in which the three sisters acted was called "Sheila alias Pind Di Kadi", in which Pushpa Rani and Ustad Mubarak Ali Khan played the lead roles.
